End-to-end automated factories are the factories achieving the level of automation where is no human involvement is required. Such factories can function 24 hours a day for 365 days without any workers, any supervisors or managers. These factories are also called dark manufacturing factories, since there is no requirement of lights in these factories. These factories are managed by AI and automated robots.
AI is a key component of end-to-end automated factories. It is used to control and manage the factory’s production process, optimize production line flow and schedule tasks accordingly. AI also helps to monitor the health of the machines and can even predict when they will fail.
