# How to Start an Inspection / Checklist

Steps to start an inspection:

1. Sign in to the web platform.
2. Access the '**Checklist**' through either the left-hand menu or the dashboard. Initiate the inspection by selecting "**Start”** on the right side of the checklist.
3. Alternatively, you can initiate a checklist from a Job.
4. Review the **checklist details** and descriptions before commencing the inspection.
5. Track progress using the Table of Contents/Progress Tracker, which provides an overview of pages, sections, questions, and the count of answered questions.
6. Mandatory/Required questions are highlighted, indicating their specific section placement.
7. Inspect by answering questions in any sequence, allowing navigation within pages and sections.
8. Upon completing the inspection, click "**Complete Inspection**."

Note:

- Inspection can only be carried out by a user if the checklist is specifically assigned to that user. By default, the creator of the checklist is automatically assigned to it.
- Scan to begin checklist is possible only if inspection is undertaken through Mobile/Tablet or Smart Assisted Reality Device.
