# How to Add Asset

This section provides a step-by-step guide for creating a Site via the web interface. Before adding a machine, it's necessary to create a Asset Type.

1. Log in to the web page.
2. Select "Asset Type" under the "Settings" section in the left-hand side menu.
3. Add the Asset Type and click "Save."
4. Next, select "Asset" from the menu on the left-hand side.
5. Click the **CREATE** button to register a new asset.
   This opens the **Create Asset** panel on the right-hand side.

6. **Fill in Mandatory Fields**

As Site Manager, you are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of key asset details:

- **Asset Title** – Unique and descriptive name
- **Asset ID** – Auto-generated or manually created
- **Asset Type** – Choose from a predefined list (e.g., Machine, Tool)
- **Site** – Select your current site (only sites you manage will be visible)

7. **Configure Additional Details**

You can further specify:

- **Criticality** – Normal, Critical, or Low (based on operational importance)
- **Status** – Active, Offline, Do Not Track, Draft
- **Vendor** – Supplier or manufacturer name
- **Description** – Brief summary of the asset
- **Manufacturer** – Equipment brand or model
- **Manufactured Date** – Select via date picker

8. Click **Publish** when complete. The asset will now appear on your dashboard.
